The Kindness of Strangers...

....From the windswept, rainy, high plains of La Meseta in northern Spain.

It is now raining hard, and a bit chilly. The winds are forecast to gust at 50kmh but I have lodgings booked for tonight so all day to make the 59 kms to Sahagún. At some point on the journey today I will reach over half way on the Camino from St Jean-Pied-de-Port.
A surrealist sight on the flat plains; the size of a small apartment building made of large straw bales.

I wonder if Dali ever painted this landscape. Onward to Frómista, and tomorrow if the wind and rain permits Sahagún.

My reflecton of the day will be the kindness of strangers.
